A Quick Look at Airmo's 1/72 Albatros C.V
This is a model that makes me want to build 1/72nd scale biplanes! The resin is among the best I've ever seen. The photoetch, by Part, is finely relief etched and provides all the interior detail one would want. The instructions are one of two weak points of this offering. Only two exploded diagrams. Not for a beginner, but then again, neither are most resin kits. You will need your own references for rigging detail placement. Decals of national markings are provided, and an insert shows where to put the markings and gives a rather boring paint scheme ("clear varnished airframe with pale gray metal parts, spinner and struts"). With all the colorful WW1 aircraft out there, I would have liked some more distinguishing markings.
