The photo below served as the basis for a diorama built for my esteemed aviation history comrade and friend, Peter Newell.  He has travelled all over the globe attending RAF/RCAF/RNZAF/RAAF Reunions and is a Duxford Fly-In regular.  It seems he's met just about every British Empire aviator who survived World War II.  The No. 89 Squadron Beaufighter Mk. VI featured in the subsequent images represents X8447, flown on nightfighter operations by Douglas Oxby and Merv Shipard while posted to Castel Benito, Tunis in the winter of 1942-43.

This is the 1/48th scale Tamiya Kit with Cutting Edge & Eduard ugrade sets, the figures are from Teknics.
